SPECIAL SESSION ON
UBIQUITOUS MULTIMEDIA SERVICE (UMS '07)
Overview
Ubiquitous Environments (UE) have received significant attention in the last few decades. UE enable to create a human-oriented computing environment where micro-computers are embedded in everyday objects and interact with physical world. With a great potential to revolutionize our lives, UE also poses new research challenges. One of the main challenges is Ubiquitous Multimedia Service (UMS), which provides the real-time multimedia services anytime, anywhere. Our special session will focus on the challenges and solutions for UMS.
The session will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of UMS. The session will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in the session. In addition, we expect that the session and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject.
Topics (included, but are not limited to)
- UMS BM(Business Model) and protocol
- Intelligent Context-aware Schemes for UMS
- Emerging Standards and Technologies for ubiquitous/wireless multimedia communications
